EMR CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT
The Bethlehem Ambulance Association is sponsoring an Emergency Medical Responder class starting Friday, the 4th of May, 2012. It will be held on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The class will prepare students for the state certification test. There is no cost to students who commit to service with Bethlehem Ambulance. The 80 hour course teaches first aid, CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AEC).
The instructors are: Jerry Schwab, Director of Oxford Ambulance, and an EMT for 13 years, a Paramedic for 9 years and and Emergency Medical Services Instructor (EMSI) for 11 years; Colin Nash, Operations Supervisor at Oxford Ambulance and an EMT for 4 years, an EMSI and AHA instrucotr for 1 year; Amy Hagstrom, an EMT for 6 years an AEMT for 3 years, an EMSI for 2 years and a trauma certified RN; and Lee Ives, and EMT for 28 years, an AEMT for 3 years, an ARC and AHA instructor for 10 years, and EMSI for 3 years, and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
